What the QIDI X-Max 3 can make

The QIDI X-Max 3 is an FDM 3D printer: it builds objects layer by layer from plastic filament, from prototypes, parts and tools to models and household items.

It has a build volume of 390 × 390 × 340 mm (15.4 × 15.4 × 13.4 in), a top print speed of 800 mm/s and a nozzle that reaches 350 °C.

The QIDI X-Max 3 uses CoreXY motion for speed, has a direct-drive extruder, which handles flexible filament, levels its bed automatically and is enclosed, which keeps the temperature stable for ABS, ASA and other engineering filaments.

In the United States the QIDI X-Max 3 sells for $899, above the median of $349 across 103 fdm 3d printers with a US price, among the premium models.

QIDI X-Max 3 safety

FDM printing gives off fine particles and fumes, more with ABS and ASA than with PLA: print in a ventilated room, or use an enclosed printer with a filter. Keep the printer away from flammable materials when it runs unattended.
