The ATOMSTACK X70 Max is a diode laser engraver: its blue laser engraves and cuts wood, plywood, leather, paper, cardboard, fabric and dark or opaque acrylic, and marks coated or painted metal. It cannot cut clear or blue acrylic, which lets blue light through, and bare metal needs far more power or a different laser.

It has a work area of 1,045 × 950 mm (41.1 × 37.4 in) and a top engraving speed of 400 mm/s.

The brand states that it cuts up to 12 mm of wood or plywood; thicker material takes several passes, and results depend on the material and air assist.
